Fiona Beckett How to Taste Wine

As The Pilgrm’s wine writer in residence, Fiona Beckett is one of the leading authorities in the world of food and wine writing, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Fiona has curated a series of incredible talks, workshops and events for The Pilgrm, kicking off on 16th October 2024 with How to Taste Wine. 

This comparative tasting will aim to lead guests to discover what makes wines distinctive and help you describe what you find in your glass, whilst gaining confidence in expressing your opinions on wine.

We'll be tasting our way through six familiar wines including sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir and malbec to help you identify and describe the flavours you find in your glass and how to recognise other wines you might enjoy. Expect a fun and accessible discussion led by Fiona with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get involved. An assortment of snacks and ingredients that will assist in illustrating specific tasting notes will be served on the evening.
